Toucan Industries Sports Club TISC) on the back of an unbeaten even century from Daniel Sarjoo, began their campaign in the Georgetown Cricket Association/ Steve’s Jewellery World sponsored Over-40 limited overs cricket competition on a high note when they scored a convincing 10-wicket victory over Police Sports Club at the Transport Sports Club ground last Sunday.
Asked to take first strike, Police compiled 161-6 from their 30 overs. O. Blacks led the batting with 54 and received support from L. Mc Koy 27 and L. Harper 24. Bowling for TISC, Sarjoo, uncle of former under-19 batsman Rohan Sarjoo, and brother of the late Neville Sarjoo, took 2-25 off five overs. He then returned to blast nine towering sixes and six fours in his unbeaten 100 as he led his team to 163 without loss and victory by 10 wickets in the process. His opening partner, Raymond Jaisingh was unbeaten on 41.
