The Guyana Public Service Union extends felicitations to devotees and all citizens this Diwali and recognises that persons have displayed courage in the face of hardships this year.
In a press release, GPSU President Patrick Yarde said “this festival serves as a light in the dark and gloomy tunnel,” this year where the population has suffered enormous adversities. He said persons have suffered “with unwarranted irrational insensitivities and economic burdens” and in spite of this they have demonstrated thoughtfulness, goodwill and caring spirits. Yarde said these persons can be the beacons of change that will lead to the betterment and prosperity of the nation.
