The water treatment plant at Better Hope, East Coast Demerara (ECD) has been experiencing some technical difficulties, which have affected Guyana Water Incorporated customers in the areas from Atlantic Gardens to Industry.
However, according to a press release from GWI, restoration of service is expected by today.
The water company said the difficulties were due to a defective starter and damaged motor bearings.
But the bearing replacement should have been completed yesterday along with the starter repairs.
The water company apologized for any inconveniences caused.
