Local singer Carlos ‘Lucky B’ Williams, who recently decided to take up fashion designing, is looking for a cover girl for what he calls his ‘2008 Stush Clothing Line’ calendar and she will be chosen by the public.
Twelve ladies posing in swimwear will star in a three-week long show dubbed the Ms Bikini Television Series, and the winner will be chosen using the text messaging method.
The three times a week, 15-minute series will be first aired on December 3 on HJ Entertainment Television – Channel 72.
The ladies will be between the ages of 17 and 27, and the singer promises they will all be new faces to the catwalk – and who knows, this exposure in the series could be their first step to a successful career in the local modelling industry.
Recently, an excited Lucky B sat down with The Scene to talk about his new idea.
He said that prior to the airing of the programme, the ladies will be photographed posing in their swimwear, and the pictures will be used during show. He said that girls will be eliminated based on the text messages received after each airing. In the final airing, the model that gets the most text messages for that day will win and be the model for the Stush calendar.
Lucky B said that he is still in the screening process, and so far he has five potential models who have already been on a photo shoot. He said his idea is not to get ladies who are already popular on the catwalk, but to get “new faces.”
