Police on the West Demerara are probing the alleged sexual assault of a six-year-old boy reportedly by an 11-year-old boy.
The 11-year-old, who is in Grade Six at a West Demerara primary school, was detained and questioned by the police after the matter was reported.
Stabroek News understands that the alleged incident, in which the older boy is accused of sodomising the younger boy, occurred some weeks ago but the matter was only reported on Monday.
The boys both attend the same school.
