Dear Editor,
Venezuela’s recent invasion of Guyana’s territory shows a blatant disregard by the Chavez administration for our sovereignty. It is also an indication of the weakness of the Jagdeo administration to deal with these issues.
To add insult to injury, Chavez has “rescued” our poor nation from darkness with a few barrels of fuel.
These are all a result of the weak economic position that Guyana is in due to the race-based politics that has been perpetrated on the people. It breaks my heart to read on the internet of the social breakdown that is happening.
Guyanese have to rid Guyana of race based politics and politicians who practise this. Is there light at the end of the tunnel?
