Dear Editor,
I received my light bill on November 10 and noted that the payment due date is November 15. I think this is unfair to customers. Why don’t GPL give customers a month-end payment date so that when they get paid from their employment, they would have money to pay the light bill. Also, the pensioners would also get their pension early in December. The due date for payment for the November bill, which I received on November 10, should have been mid-December and not November 15.
Now take the case of GT&T, when you receive your phone bill you have a month end to pay the phone bill before the due date. Do you see GT&T having any major problem with customers not paying their phone bill?
Yours faithfully,
Henry Persaud
