Dear Editor,
The wanton piracy on innocent fishermen in the Corentyne area begs a lot of unanswered questions. Since the arbitration ruling on the border issue it seems that these unlawful activities have increased in the area.
Is there some sort of sinister agenda to discourage Guyana’s sovereignty from the east like what has been happening in the west recently? Because of our weak political situation and troubles in Guyana, everyone will want to attack the “weak sheep,” as its master idly dabbles in cosmetic politics, with not much help from the main opposition either.
Yours faithfully,
K. Persaud
