The scheduled three-day cricket trial match arranged by the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) which was set to commence today has been postponed.
According to a release from the GCB the match has been postponed to a later date because of the consistent rainfall.
The national senior selection panel last week shortlisted 35 players to prepare for possible selection on next year’s Carib Beer team omitting seasoned players Reon King, Mahendra Nagamootoo and Neil MC Garrell.
The GCB had scheduled two trial matches with the first match billed for the Demerara Cricket Club ground (DCC) in Queenstown.
The second match was to be over four days.
The release stated that the GCB would announce the new dates for the trials.
