A robbery attempt by two gunmen and a woman was foiled yesterday after their victim, a 68-year-old Herstelling, East Bank Demerara businessman, fought back.
According to reports, around 12:30 hrs yesterday, two men and a woman approached Mohamed Sareef Abrahim at his 126 First Street, Herstelling home to transact business. Abrahim has been operating a small-scale, money-lending business at his home for the past three years. Abrahim told this newspaper that he was in his house when he heard someone calling at his gate.
