Minister of Home Affairs Clement Rohee yesterday urged hundreds of schoolchildren to tell speeding drivers to slow down as this could help to curb the carnage on the roadways.
Rohee was addressing students from 55 schools in Regions Three, Four and Ten at the National Road Safety Week symposium and mini-exhibition held inside the National Stadium at Providence, East Bank Demerara.
The theme for this year’s event is “Stop the Carnage, Slow Down”.
Rohee in a very interactive talk with the children dealt with speeding and its consequences.
