Dear Editor,
Everyone in Guyana knows how the system works for the rich and politically connected as opposed to the poor and working class. Now that President Bharrat Jagdeo has spoken on the matter, the psyche of the Guyanese people has once again been assaulted. I am convinced that indeed there are persons in Guyana who are above the law.
All is not lost. There is a silent and even more powerful observer to this scandalous affair. No one can help you there, Mr. Minister. By now the goodly people who occupy the building at the corners of Young and Duke Streets, would have been apprised of all the facts. Unlike your political colleagues and the toothless poodle we call police, rest assured that they’ve got your number and they will come calling (for your visa that is). Who is going to stop them? Perhaps you can go in and tell them that you’d like to settle the matter outside the embassy?
Let’s see.
Yours faithfully,
