Why should we allow king Jagdeo to abuse us, especially in these modern days? Just imagine, minister Kellawan Lall assaulted a teenager, fired several shots, and the king says “The Commissioner of Police told me that both parties do not want to pursue the matter…” Come on king, get your act together and get rid of that disgraceful gunman you have as a government minister. It’s a waste of taxpayers’ money.
Quickly, get rid of Kellawan Lall, that trigger happy gunman. And whilst you are at it please remember that the same should be done with MP Albert Atkinson, who claimed that he fired his gun allegedly to prevent “a man from soliciting the services of a commercial sex worker…” (charity begins at home, and maybe Parliament would have been the perfect place to make a citizen’s arrest on that particular issue since quite a few of them are guilty of soliciting the services of commercial sex workers – you know what I mean?) .
Also, the king ought not to forget about that young woman’s report to the Alberttown Police Station. The issue was “rape”, then it was reported a few days after that the matter was settled between the official and the young woman. Yet, the king did absolutely nothing about the issue, and the alleged perpetrator is still on the job. When will the king get it right?
Citizens of Guyana have allowed king Jagdeo to become so arrogant and power hungry, so much so that the king is of the view that he can do and say anything without any serious challenges to his form of dictatorship. Imagine, the king has the guts to tell Guyanese that we must brace ourselves for a “dark Christmas.” We must not sit down and accept this dictatorship from the king and his men.
With this said, the king and his men must not be surprised when thousands of citizens take to the streets before Christmas to protest their utter disgust and frustration over the above mentioned stories and more…like VAT, freedom of the press, torture, extra-judicial killings, corruption, racism, control over the judiciary, police force and the GDF, and the arrogance by the king and his closely guarded gunmen and sexual perverts. To begin with, Kellawan Lall and the other gunman must be fired with immediate effect, and the king must address the nation with something positive (very soon) on the issue of GPL.
