Two men are in a critical condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital following two separate accidents last evening.
Sheldon David, a resident of Melanie Damishana, East Coast Demerara (ECD) was riding his motorcycle along the public road at Non-Pariel ECD when he was hit by a pick-up. This newspaper understands that the driver of that vehicle is currently in police custody while David remains in a stable but serious condition.
Meanwhile Rattan Harilall of Eccles Old Road, East Bank Demerara (EBD) had to be rushed to the hospital after he was hit by a car driven by a woman on the public road at Mc Doom EBD.
According to the man’s brother he was walking across a pedestrian crossing when he was hit by the car.
Hospital sources told this newspaper that the man was listed in a serious condition, while the driver of the car is in police custody.
