Buxton needled Pele 1-0 on Saturday at the Camptown Football Club ground in a Group ‘B’ match of the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) Supligen U-20 round robin competition.
Derrick Hatton scored for Buxton in the 10th minute as the East Coast Demerara unit completed their quota of matches with 15 points courtesy of their five wins.
Although losing twice Buxton have qualified for the quarter-finals since they sit atop of Group ‘B’.
The competition continues this afternoon with two matches. At the Camptown ground, Georgetown Football Club (GFC) will oppose Camptown in what is the penultimate match for both Group ‘B’ teams.
In the second fixture this afternoon Alpha United will take on Mocha Champs at the National Insurance Scheme ground also from 4pm.
This is the final group `A’ match for Alpha United who are on 12 points and the second to last match for Mocha Champs who are on 10 points.
