Dear Editor,
I acknowledge Mr Bert Carter’s eloquent reply (DC 07.12.11) to my letter in the Kaieteur News in which I outlined my points of concern regarding the Berbice River Bridge.
Mr Carter, I am moved that you took the time to quell my apprehensions regarding – especially- shuttling of barges under the bridge. This is the kind of concern and transparency that is needed by contractors/engineers of large-scale projects in Guyana. Your interest in setting the records straight and giving us some insight is very much appreciated.
I do hope that the newspapers can have more articles on the bridge. How about a nice aerial shot of the construction from time to time?
Yours faithfully,
Lewis Hale
