Dear Editor,
It is nice to know that the Kashif and Shanghai football tournament will be on after some uncertainty. But apart from whatever other failings there may be, there is one sore area which to a great part falls within the perview of the organizers.
I’m speaking about the lack of adequate and proper toilet facilities at the main venue, the McKenzie Sports Club, which has now become the mecca of football in Linden.
This is the organization’s 18th annual tournament, yet to date after all those successful stagings there has never been any attempt at improving its lavatory facilities.
The washroom downstairs of the MSC is virtually non-existent, most repugnant, more of a rugged storeroom. What must those thousands of patrons do at critical moments?
Yours faithfully,
Frank Fyffe
