President of the Guyana Public Service Union, Patrick Yarde urged Guyanese to put aside grudges, prejudices and ill feelings to focus on assisting each other in enjoying and sharing life this Christmas.
Without consideration for ethnicity, religion or creed, draw on your humanity and strength of character, Yarde said in a Christmas Day message. He added that persons need to take measures to prepare themselves for a process of healing by working in unity.
“I trust that if we all orient ourselves to assume these values and cultivate this consciousness then we would be in a position to make New Year’s resolutions that would be all embracing compassionate, objective and that would attract the support of all Guyanese,” Yarde said.
