A 22-year-old Corentyne cane harvester who is accused of chopping a man to death was remanded to prison when he appeared at the Springlands Court yesterday before Magistrate Krishendat Persaud.
It is alleged that on December 31, 2007, Keemal `Vicky’ Seepaul of Clifton Settlement, Port Mourant, murdered 30-year-old Deonarine `Monster’ Mingo also a cane harvester of Clifton Settlement.
Seepaul, a father of one was denied his pre-trial liberty and is expected to return to the Whim Magistrate’s Court on January 14.
