The pitying bitterness which the principals of the Guyana Publications Inc. the publishers of the Sunday Stabroek and Stabroek News, hold for the government, is typified in a paragraph of their Sunday editorial captioned “2007,” which reads: “After more than fifteen years in office, there can be no question that it lacks the capacity to fix a problem about which it never failed to harangue the PNC when the latter was in government. So much for change.”
The editorial was referring to the situation at the electricity corporation and suggests that the government must take full responsibility.
What I find particularly sinister and dishonest about the position being adopted by the Stabroek is the feebleness in their allegation that the government “lacks the capacity to fix a problem
