A 43-year-old man died on Friday at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) one day after a cutlass was pushed down his throat and police have since held the person allegedly responsible for the act.
A release from the police said that they are investigating the murder of labourer Ganesh Singh of Long Creek.
The release stated that investigations revealed that on January 10, Singh, who worked on a farm at Long Creek, was involved in an argument with a fellow worker during which a cutlass was pushed into his mouth.
