If the story is true in the newspapers, its looks like the customs at the post office is making decisions as to what they will do or permit in using cameras in dealing with drug traffic. Mr. Edghill said “I am frustrated with the attitude of some Customs officers,” adding that he had heard remarks like the job of customs “is not to look after narcotics but to look after revenue”.
This is another example of some public servants exhibiting an independence from government policy while doing their own thing. It begs the question as to who works for whom?
