Dear Editor,
The Guyana Nationalists Party sends its deepest condolences to the victims and families of the atrocity at Lusignan. We urge the Indian and Afro Guyanese not to give in to racial strife and hatred.
It is times like these that test the character of our nation. The GNP reminds the whole nation that we are indeed One People, One Nation and One Destiny.
The GNP would like to ask the government and the heads of the army and police why they withdrew the security camp at the back of Buxton leaving residents and communities defenceless against such an atrocity.
