I listened and watched in horror, as what started out as a tranquil Saturday morning eventually unravelled into a most upsetting day. The images on TV were unbelievable – murder and mayhem — images of innocent people, male, female, young and old, bloodied and blasted – innocent people, that’s the operative word…innocent…killed in the most cold blooded fashion – in the sanctity of their homes.
All this unfolded as the majority of us lay sleeping peacefully with our loved ones, none the wiser that a massacre was in high gear just villages away.
But, the most upsetting thing of all, was not the images, not the cruel and sheer barbarism of the bandits, not even seeing children with gaping bullet holes and saturated with their own blood
