The Mayor and City Council says it is conducting an audit of its public relations department.
According to a press release the communication audit is intended to determine the existing perceptions of internal communications; the main problem affecting the communication process; the current communication practice and the relationship between the municipality and its critical stakeholders. It is also expected to make specific recommendations to improve internal communication.
The release also said the audit will utilize three methods: focus group discussion, elite interviews and survey. “It is anticipated that the recommendations, when employed, would revolutionize the communication structure,” the Council said.
