Dear Editor,
It is time for change. Rebel members of the armed forces loyal to their cause of racial war can still hurt a few Africans and make it look like retaliation for Lusignan. It is time for the PPP to act before it is too late.
We need new leadership with the capacity to lead a unified nation whose first priority is to put in place a Constitutional Reform Team. Secondly, we need a Council of Economic Advisors to plan growth outside of the underground economy so we can generate jobs for our youth and able adults.
The President wants to give away our forests for climate change. This is irresponsible behaviour.
Thirdly, we need new leadership in the armed forces to address national priorities including a new National Service for skills relevant to our economic growth, an Army Corps of Engineers to build infrastructure for National Development and a National Preparedness Plan for Climate Change if we have to evacuate Georgetown and environs.
Fourthly, we need to replace the ERC with a Human Rights Commission so we can pursue healing.
Fifthly, we need to free our press from political interference.
We also need to find Tenisha Morgan. Everyone seems to have forgotten why the private war went national and public.
Yours faithfully,
Eric Phillips
