Action in the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) competitions will resume today with a series of matches that will see the completion of some 2007 competitions.
First and foremost on the minds of the Competitions Committee of the GCA is the completion of the Pepsi/Ansa Mc Al 20/20 competitions which must be completed by this month-end. To this end, the GCA is asking all clubs to get their grounds in shape so that smooth completion of this competition can take place. There are two matches slated for today, tomorrow and Sunday in the 20/20 competition at various venues around Georgetown.
Today’s’ action will see Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) hosting the Guyana National Industrial Corporation (GNIC) at Bourda from 13:00 h, while at the same time Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) will do battle with Everest cricket Club at Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC).
Tomorrow’s action will pit Everest against GNIC at GCC from 10:00 h and from 14:00 hs GCC and Transport Sports Club will do battle also at GCC.
On Sunday, Transport will oppose Ghandi Youth Organization (GYO) at Malteenoes from 10:00 h, while from 14:00h MSC will host GYO at MSC.
There will also be action in the Lifetime Realty Under-15 competition today, tomorrow and Sunday. Action today will pit DCC against Ace Warriors at GYO and MSC will take on Everest at GNIC.
There are four matches carded for tomorrow: Transport will take on GNIC at GNIC, GYO will host Third Class at GYO, MSC will play host to GCC and Everest and Ace Warriors will clash at Police.
Sunday’s action will involve GCC and DCC at GCC and GYO will be going against Transport at GYO and GNIC and Third Class are to clash at GNIC.
All matches in the Under-15 competition will commence from 09:30 h.
