Chairman of the Upper Corentyne Chamber of Commerce, David Subnauth said the chamber is saddened at the senseless slaying of the 12 innocent persons in Bartica especially since “the country has to deal 23 killings in three weeks.”
Subnauth told this newspaper yesterday that the gunmen slaughtered the persons in a most gruesome manner and that their actions are driving a lot of fear in people throughout the country.
“Who would have expected that after killing 11 persons at Lusignan, the criminals would have gone to the extreme end to carry out this dastardly act? I do hope that they are brought to justice
