Dear Editor,
How many more will have to suffer, how many more will have to die? It is clear that the PPP lacks the capacity to govern this land. They cannot protect the people. Come on people wake up now or you may never wake up again. It’s time to ask the PPP to leave, you put them there so you can take them out.
I suggest that all workers go on an indefinite strike until the PPP calls new elections in a matter of two months. The businesses need to do likewise, shut your doors until there is change.
It is the only way, the PPP will not move, they still think that they own Guyana and can do as they please. They still think that all is well and the 11 at Lusignan was a passing fad. Now we have another 13. The trend will continue, until who knows when?
Are they going to still tell us that the gun men live in Buxton and civilians are protecting them there? What excuse will we hear now? Do you want to hear more excuses? Do you want to see more slaughter?
This is not about ethnicity anymore, this is about security of yourselves and your families and the inability of the PPP to do anything to protect us.
Yours faithfully,
Vincent Ferreira
