Man, 52, remanded over threat to kill mom

A 52-year-old man was remanded for using threatening language against his mother when he appeared before Principal Magistrate Melissa Robertson-Ogle in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

Leon Brown of 25 Fourth Street, Kingston allegedly told his mother, Doreen Brown last Sunday that he would kill her, after he woke her up with his quarrelling. The mother told the court that this was a regular affair and she could not handle it anymore.

When asked if he had anything to say Brown said that it was time he moved out of her house since “it ain’t a bed a roses.” To this the magistrate replied: “It’s about time you did.”

She remanded him until February 29.
