Police on Friday picked up another man who they suspect is a member of the gang, which murdered Kumar Singh called ‘Mango Man’ of Cove and John, on August 30 and Marvin Barnwell of Friendship, East Coast Demerara (ECD) on July 12 last year.
Last week Durwin Wright of South Vigilance, ECD, was charged with murder and was not allowed to plea to the indictable offence.
A high-ranking police source told this newspaper on Friday that the police are in possession of information, which suggests that the man is also suspected to be part of the Rondell ‘Fine Man’ Rawlins gang, which slaughtered 11 persons including children at Lusignan on the morning of January 26.
However, it is not clear whether he was actually part of that action.
The man is to be placed before the courts shortly.
