A 23-year-old man was shot and robbed on Sunday night by two bandits who took away his motorcycle and escaped.
Timothy King of West Ruimveldt was admitted to a private hospital after being shot in his right thigh by one of the men at about 8.45 pm on Sunday.
Police in a press release stated that King was sitting on his black and red Honda CG motorcycle, CE 6403, talking to a friend at Mandela Avenue and Hibiscus Street when the two men rode up on a bicycle, held him at gunpoint and demanded the motorcycle. King resisted and was shot in his right thigh; the men then escaped with the motorcycle, the police said.
King was taken to a private city hospital and admitted.
