The Factory Manager at the Guyana Sugar Corporation’s (GuySuCo) La Bonne Intention (LBI) estate died on Wednesday after reportedly ingesting a poisonous substance.
Dead is Ranbhir Jeetoo. An official at GuySuCo confirmed the death of the 32-year-old man yesterday.
He said that Jeetoo had worked with the company for about eight years and had been the factory manager for about a year.
Jeetoo was living in the LBI staff compound at the time of his death, which reportedly occurred just after midday on Wednesday.
He leaves to mourn his wife, a child and other relatives.
