Dear Editor,
I extend my heartfelt thanks to the surgical unit of the Georgetown Public Hospital which comprises Drs Zang and Rambarran for a difficult but successful surgery. I would also like to thank the nursing staff of Ward B2 for the care and attention given to me while under their supervision, especially Nurse Sooklall who worked assiduously to ensure that the patients were secure and comfortable.
Of course there are negatives, but the positives stand out when taking into consideration the tremendous constraints and the fact that not all nurses are comparable with Florence Nightingale “The lady of the Lamp”.
Despite the criticisms the exasperations caused by many patients are unrecognized by your detractors. Hold your head up high, you are performing a commendable task.
