Dear Editor,
I had grown accustomed to Mr. Vishnu Bisram’s “ball by ball” commentary on the US Presidential campaign, but he has recently turned his attention to other topics at a time when the race for the Democratic candidate is at its climax.
Mr. Bisram had assumed that all American Guyanese are Democrats although I believe he was referring to Guyanese Indian Americans. (I am African Guyanese but I do not subscribe to the liberal principles. My children are split evenly between the liberals and the conservatives). Mr. Bisram was encouraging Guyanese Americans to vote for Mrs. Clinton and was of the firm opinion that she would be the Demo-cratic nominee. Since Mr. Obama moved ahead with 11 straight wins the commentary came to a disappointing end.
What’s Mr. Bisram’s position now? Has he lost his appetite? Is he comfortable backing the “White Gal” and not the “Black Guy”? It would be interesting to know from Mr. Bisram if he would still vote Democratic if Mr. Obama is the nominee. My email was written before the result of the 4th. March primaries in Texas, Ohio, Vermont and Rhode Island.
Yours faithfully,
F. Skinner
