Dear Editor,
Last year the government went on an exercise claiming to fix the National Insurance Scheme(NIS). I went to one of the fan out exercises, they called it consultation but the level of the discussion was low.
Contributors have a hard time when they deal with the scheme. They are
Told:
(a) we do not have your contribution records.
(b) your employers (including government) did not pay for you.
(c) the records are in Georgetown.
Payments are sometimes calculated incorrectly and people get less than they should.
