Former World Boxing Council (WBC) Cruiserweight champion Wayne `Big Truck’ Braithwaite is back on the road and looking to drive all the way to the top of the cruiserweight mountain.
Braithwaite, who has an upcoming fight at month-end, arrived in Guyana yesterday and wasted little time getting into the gym.
The 6′ 0″ Braithwaite, who won the WBC title by defeating Vincenzo Cantatore in 2002 in Italy, hooked up with veteran trainer Maurice `Busy’ Boyce for a stint at the Andrew Sixhead’ Lewis gym yesterday afternoon.
Boyce told Stabroek Sport that Braithwaite did only light training which entailed skipping, shadow boxing and hitting the overhead ball.
