The PPP Central Committee says its next congress will be held August 2 and 3.
The Committee took this decision when it met on February 16, the party said in a press release yesterday. It also ratified the composition of the Congress Committee which is being chaired by executive member Clement Rohee.
The Committee is expected to submit a report on its performance since it was elected at the 28th Congress in 2005, at this year’s assembly. The report is expected to analyse the socio-economic and political situation in Guyana as well as the international environment.
