The Ataturk International Women Masters Chess Tournament was completed in Turkey yesterday. It attracted the world’s finest women players, including the current world champion from China and a former world champion from Sweden. At the time of writing with two rounds to go, China’s child prodigy, 13-year-old HouYifan, was leading the tournament.
The 17-year-old talent from India, grandmaster Harika Dronavalli began strongly by securing two consecutive wins. She faltered, however, and currently sits in 5th place. Here is her game with Anna Ushenina from the Ukraine, whom she defeated in 43 moves.
