Dear Editor,
Has Guyana become a broken society? We have gunmen who massacre policemen in police stations and people in their homes killing innocent men, women and children.
The latest atrocity is this woman loosing her pitbulls on children playing cricket. I thought this type of hatred happened only in apartheid South Africa. There is also an increase in domestic violence.
The recent US report on the drug trade mentioned that children as young as eleven are using cannabis It’s likely they will graduate later to hard drugs such as cocaine.
What is the government doing to arrest the downward spiral of moral decline and increase in crime? My suggestion is that a government of national unity is required.
Yours faithfully,
F A Neblett
