Dear Editor,
I read Frank Fyffe’s complaint about Damon Avenue in Linden being neglected and I have a question to ask. How come there is a Damon Avenue far away in Linden and not one in Essequibo Coast where this great slave leader led his famous uprising? Sure we have a magnificent bronze sculpture of Damon in the Anna Regina town square but there is is not an avenue, road or street named in honour of this great man especially in La Belle Alliance where this uprising took place.
