Carib Masters and GT All Stars scored wins to move into the top position following Saturday’s matches in the Coca Cola Masters Football tournament played at Thirst Park ground.
Carib Masters scored a 1-0 win over Thomas United in their fixture with Octive Graham scoring the game’s lone goal.
GT All Stars were also in winners’ row with a comfortable 2-0 triumph over Pele Masters.
Former national captain Terrence Archer and Anthony Williams netted a goal each for the flambouyant GT All Stars team.
Hector Forte scored a hattrick of goal to lead Twilight Masters to a 5-0 drubbing of Santos Masters.
Wayne Poulis scored a double for the victorious Twilight team.
In the other encounter, Georgetown Football Club (GFC) made light work of Rasta Patriarch by a 3-1 margin.
Carib Masters and GT All Stars are locked on 10 points each from four matches, while Pele Masters and Twilight both have six points from three games.
The tournament continues this evening with one match at Thirst Park.
Twilights will take on Western Tigers at 19:00 hours.
Two matches will be played on Thursday evening – Rasta Patriarch will tackle Thomas United at 17:30 hours, while at 19:00 hours, Pele will do battle with GFC.
According to Tournament Coordinator Gordon “Ultimate Warrior” Braithwaite the final set on matches will be played on April 19 at Thirst Park.
The Masters Tournament involving teams in Georgetown is sponsored by beverage giants Banks DIH Ltd.
Meanwhile, the Coca Cola Under- 15 semi-finals will be played off on tomorrow evening at Thirst Park with the first match scheduled to start at 17:00 hours.
The competing teams are Santos, Crane, Plaisance and Alpha United.
The final will be played off on Friday evening at the same venue.
