Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) continued their winning ways when they defeated newly formed Ace Warriors cricket club by 164 runs, when action in the Georgetown Cricket Assoc-iation (GCA)/ Lifetime Realty sponsored under-15 50 overs competition started yesterday.
Playing at the GCC ground Bourda, the home team batted first and rattled up 242-8 from their 50 overs with Winston Forrester leading the way with the bat hitting an accomplished 61. Sunil Rupee (43) and national under-15 left arm bowler Raj Nanan (32) offered support to Forrester.
Mortland Ward (2-27) and Christopher Dick (2-29) led the bowling for Ace Warriors who were then restricted to 78 from 29.4 overs.
Kevin Semple led their batting with 30 but no other batsman offered support as Asif Ibrahim (4-6), Nanan (2-5) and Kevin Ogle (2-11) did the damage for GCC with the ball as they romped to a whopping 164 runs victory.
