Two under-19 matches were contested yesterday with Guyana National Industrial Corporation (GNIC) thrashing Ghandi Youth Organization (GYO) at the GNIC Ground, Woolford Avenue and Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) over-powering Cummings Lodge Secondary at the GCC Ground, Bourda.
In the first match, GNIC won the toss and sent GYO in to bat.

In reply, GNIC reached the required target from just 15 overs with Quincy Richardson scoring a quick-fire 41 with five fours and one six.
He was supported by opening partner Dwight Dodson who hit four fours and two sixes in his 31.
Ricardo Devers removed Richardson to finish with 1 – 27 for GYO.
In the Cummings Lodge/GCC encounter, GCC won the toss and batted posting 164 all out which proved too much for Cummings Lodge who crashed to 75 all out.

Yogindra Dass and Tharaj Budhoo bagged two wickets each while Denzel Hestick, Jagdesh Khan and Javed Cambell chipped in with one each for Cummings Lodge.
Cummings Lodge got off to a good start and were 50 – 2 after nine overs but everything went haywire as Parmanand Ramkisson ripped through the batting line-up grabbing 5 – 23. He received support again from Nannan and Larose with 3 – 10 and 1 – 21 respectively.
