The Mayor and City Council (M&CC) says it is grateful for the support it received during the launch of its enhancement programme at Festival City on Sunday and urged the public to become involved in community activities.
In a press release the M&CC said it is pleased with the cooperation of businesses and residents during the launch as such support is crucial when working with a small revenue base to meet increasing demands. It called on citizens to join local community groups and contribute to the enhancement of their neighbourhoods.
Further, the Council is inviting residents in communities where the streets have no names or those with nondescript street names to submit petitions with suggested names or changes. It said too the petition must be signed by 25 residents.
