Dear Editor,
Why does the Mayor and City Council of Georgetown have crews driving around, using vehicles and gasoline purchased by taxpayer dollars, harassing taxpayers who may be involved in repairs to their premises? Why is it these crews just notice some sand on the parapet for construction or something of that nature? The intent in the harassing exercise by these crews is purely to solicit bribes.
Why can’t these same crews report on the numerous drains that are overgrown with grass and blocked and report back to the council to get these cleared, something that as taxpayers we pay for but have to do ourselves.
I ask the Mayor to put a stop to this harassment.
Yours faithfully,
Ganesh Singh
