Carlton Anthony of Alness Village, Corentyne, won the first ever Charles and Ada Gordon Memorial Road race organized by the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club (RHTYSC) last Sunday.
Anthony completed the two-mile event which started in front of the Albion Police Station with 27 runners facing the starter and finished at the Rose Hall Town arch in a time of 9:46, to take home the first prize of $50,000 and a medal that was sponsored by overseas-based Guyanese Martin Cort in honour of his late grandparents.
