Dear Editor,
For some years I have been paying the Pomona/Good Hope Neighbourhood Democratic Council an annual rental of twelve thousand dollars in advance for fruit trees belonging to this body.
In broad daylight on Monday, March 17 last I witnessed persons picking water coconuts from a tree under my control and possession.
The Sergeant refused to look at the rent receipt and said it was a waste of time for me to take the water coconut shells to the station.
Although the Sergeant is an arm of the law, she should not have usurped the functions of the DPP.
Yours faithfully,
Abdool Kamal
