Dear Editor,
Here we go again! Two Guyanese being attacked on Guyanese soil by Venezuelans, again. This was followed recently by the arrest and detention of a Guyanese by the Surinamese army in Guyanese waters. This followed the recent detention of two Guyanese in Barbados en route to Canada.
This followed the Venezuelan Army bombing of two dredges in Guyanese waters. This followed the killing of a Guyanese by the Venezuelan Army. This followed the infamous ousting of a CGX drilling rig by the Surinamese Army. This followed numerous incidents of Guyanese being killed, beaten, abused or locked up by our neighbours sometimes in our own land or water or by our “partners” in Caricom.
The question is: when will the Government stand up for Guyanese?
Yours faithfully,
Nohar Singh
