An $8M student dormitory will soon be furnished at Orealla/Siparuta as part of government’s efforts to provide more educational opportunities for hinterland students.
A Government Information Agency press release said the Orealla dormitory will also facilitate children from the neighbouring community of Siparuta. Region Six Regional Chairman Zulficar Mustapha said the dormitory will cater for students who have to travel long distances to get to school and will reduce transportation costs. The children will be provided with free meals, accommodation and a high quality education provided by the community’s schools. Mustapha said the building is still to be furnished and it will be ready for use in the new school term.
